While there can be good reasons to use separate repositories and/or
branches, using a single repository&branch can also make a lot of sense.
IIUC Google's in-house revision control system is basically
single-repository/single-branch and holds "the world plus the kitchen
sink" (except for some exceptions, mostly those few packages which are
also exposed to the outside world and hence use another revision control
system).
If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
