It's a start and that's infinitely better than no provision for
annotations at all. I know I would use this feature often. I use
inlinetasks for annotations currently and this would be cleaner.
Multiple authors can be done manually for now, e.g. [@:1]blah[@] with
[1] later "ESF: I don't agree ;-)".
By the way, I personally would like inline annotations, along the lines
of inline footnotes. Just saying...
