How can I have a cross-reference for a specific word please? I want to
reference 'confidentiality' to a section headed "Is it confidential?"

Thanks
Sharon.

Does this do what you want?

[[*Is it confidential?][confidential]]

Thanks John, I've finally been able to try this out, and it works
perfectly, so I'm now going to institute it document-wide.

Sorry that it took so long to reply.

Thanks
