Never mind. I didn't read Matthew's announcement well enough.
If anyone is interested a script to do this is:

# Capture.py
import android
droid = android.Android()
resStr = droid.recoggnizeSpeech().result
droid.startActivity("com.matburt.mobileorg.CAPTURE",
None,
None,
{'txtValue' : resStr})
--------------------------------------------------------
Of course, it could be made fancier by not bringing up
the Activity if the string is empty, etc....
