Hi,

Inspired by the OrgCamps being conducted in Paris [1] [2], I would like to
propose an OrgCamp somewhere in India. I'm not sure, how many people
from India are on this list, but I do know that there are a few.
Would any of you be interested in such a meet-up? What would be a
good place and time for such a meet-up?

Best,
Puneeth

I am from Madras. I can be present if the meetup is within or just
slightly outside the city.

I am in Hyderabad. Travelling too far would be a constraint.

Thanks for proposing the idea.

I am also in Mumbai and so that makes it 3 of us. But I was hoping
there would be more people. Would it help if we had it along side
another FOSS event? Also, I wouldn't mind traveling to Chennai,
B'lore or Hyderabad, if that helps having a bigger meet-up

Your thoughts?

I know for sure that Linux User Group in Pune meets *very* regularly. It
might be a good idea to approach the coordinators and see what they can
suggest. If nothing else they can atleast arrange for a decent enough
space for the meetup.

How about IIT, Bombay ...

Nagarjuna (who occasionally posts in this list) is from one of the Tata
institutes in Bombay. He could be of some help here.

Hello Puneeth:

I'd like to host this in IIIT in Hyderabad. Apr and May would be very
hot here, though. June would be more pleasant. Hyderabad is
overnight by train from all the places mentioned earlier (Pune,
Mumbai, Chennai), and just an hour flight.

Cheers.

Thanks for the offer. I would be happy to come, if the others are
willing to make it. :)
