Trying to find information about how to solve this, I came across this post

Lorsque HTML Tidy te dit ça, ce n'est qu'une recommandation. C'est valide syntaxiquement parlant.

IIUC, and to make sure everyone understands: HTML Tidy doesn't
distinguish between
<span><span> Some text </span></span>
and
<span class="x"><span class="y"> Some text </span></span>
and suggests that there may be a duplicate tag.
