Hi,
is there a way to include diary entries (i.e., entries in an
emacs-calendar file) into the org timeline?
I have set
(setq org-agenda-include-diary t)
which incluse the diary to the agenda-day view; but it seems that in the
timeline it is not included.

No, there is not. The time line is just for one individual buffer.
One way around this would be to make an agenda for just the current
buffer, with
C-c a < a
