Bonjour,
Is it possible to number the headings ?
Instead of the standard hierarchy :
*
**
***
etc...
I would like to be have (just as in HTML Export) :
1.
1.1.
1.1.1.
etc...
(of course, automatically re-calculated, if items are moved Up/Down, or are
promoted/demoted...)
Thanks in advance
T.Guillemin

No this is not possible for headings. You can do something similar with
numbered lists. You can number headings when you export your org-mode
document to HTML or other formats but I don't think you will get exactly
the numbering scheme you have shown here.

This is probably not what you want, but there is a nice little package to
make your org-style outlines PRINT in numbered lists, like you want, even
though you would work with them still in the org way, with *'s. Have a look
at easylist <http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/easylist/> on
CTAN. You do have to do a small hack to get it to work with asterisks,
either convert them in Emacs before export, or modify the code of the latex
package to accept asterisks as the headline marker. (It explains this in a
footnote in the documentation).
