Big kudos to them! I can see how the merge driver could be the holy grail of using org as an effective project manager (issue/bug/project/task tracker) and then blurring the line between "the shared list" and personal todo lists. Oh boy, orgmode is so freaking awesome. And of course, org-sync would come in handy to interface with other services either as a way to adapt it to the existing infrastructure or to use the web GUIs while still allowing programmers to just use plain org files as an way to manage their tasks. I'm more and more thinking of revamping the website, and yes,
the GSoC projects should be easily accessible from the front page.
