Dear all,

https://orgmode.org/worg/ is the community-driven documentation effort
for anything related to Org.

It is full of useful information but it needs some more maintainance.

I'm looking for someone who could take this in charge by helping when
possible. Of course, we can have several maintainers, but we need one
in charge.

If you want to help occasionally, that's welcome too (please send me
an email with the username you want on https://code.orgmode.org) but
beware that the more occasional help Worg receives the more it needs
to be driven by someone -- so please consider first stepping up as a
maintainer first.

Here is a list of tasks to supervise:

- Update obsolete documentation
- Remove obsolete contents
- Clean up the directory structure
- Enhance the CSS stylesheet (make it responsive)
- List useful Org modules (not all of them, there are too many)
- List parsers
- List other tools
- Keep https://orgmode.org/worg/doc.html up to date

... and more if you enjoy it.

Thanks!

Hi Bastien,

I'm interested in taking 'charge' of maintenance of 'orgmode.org/worg'.

My whole life revolves around org files. I use it extensively for
personal knowledge management, appointments, lessons, project management using
TaskJuggler, Python development using literate-programming, private journals,
finance using ledger, pdfs with org-noter, org-roam etc.

Without a doubt, 'worg' has at times given me solutions which weren't
available anywhere else in the whole www. At the same time, it is very
easy to come across very outdated information over there, and certain other
pages are just a bunch of unrelated comments.

It would be an honour to be able to contribute by trying to make it more
relevant and useful for both new users and expert users alike. It is
indeed a massive repository of extremely useful information.

Kind regards,
Krupal

Hi Krupal,

thanks a lot for offering to maintain Worg! Very much appreciated,
I'm confident this is very good news for anyone relying on Worg.

Please send me an email with the username you want for an account
on https://code.orgmode.org, I will then add you as a committer.

Best,

We now have Krupal and Corwin Brust maintaining Worg, so I'm closing
this call for help.

Thank you both very much!

I don't have either of these setq lines but I do have:

(setq org-plantuml-jar-path (expand-file-name "/usr/share/plantuml/plantuml.jar"))

I'm not sure what those settings you have defined are meant to do.
