In this case, you can type \"o to get =C3= =B6. Almost all TeX and LaTeX sequences are understood (e.g. \forall to get =E2=88=80, \exists for =E2=88=83, \alpha for =CE=B1, \leftrightharpoons for= =E2=87=8B, and so on.)
