In the org file:

#+LATEX_HEADER: \usepackage[margin=0.25in]{geometry}

If you want to make this the default, you can customize
org-latex-packages-alist:

(add-to-list 'org-latex-packages-alist
             '("margin=0.25in" "geometry" nil))
