Hmm... I use the elpa as my main install, and maintain orgmode through those updates. Any other solutions, or idea why that fixed it?

Hi,
I had the same problem, and I could solve it by removing an org installation in .emacs.d/elpa.
(My regular org installation is a git sandbox).
