For the second, set both =E2=80=98org-footnote-define-inline=E2=80=99= and =E2=80=98org-footnote-section=E2=80=99 to nil. And for the third, set =E2=80=98org-footnote-define-inline=E2=80=99 to something other than nil. You can place footnote definitions manually wherever you choose. You can use the line #+INCLUDE: "file.org" to include one org file inside another for export purposes. I don=E2=80=99t know off the top of my head whether this works to import footnote definitions from a separate file, though I don=E2=80=99t see a reason why it shouldn=E2=80=99t. Try it and see! (It almost certainly won=E2=80=99t all= ow footnotes in one file to be links to locations in another.) --=20 Aaron Ecay
