First of all: Seems you have tried http://orgmode.org/worg/org-contrib/org-protocol.php#sec-3_1 already?? Current versions of FF do not work like that anymore. I don't use xdg. But I think xdg-mime is what your searching for? I you succeed, would you please mail a recipe, so we can add it to http://orgmode.org/worg/org-contrib/org-protocol.php ?? Sebastian
