I like to have my entries in my org-files in this way:
* <2023-06-06>--<2023-06-10> 5 days long

But then the agenda view entry doesn't look so nice:
(1/5):  <2023-06-06>--<2023-06-10> 5 days long

If the entry in the org-file looks like this:
* 5 days long
  <2023-06-06>--<2023-06-10>

the agenda view entry looks nicer:
(1/5):  5 days long

Is there a way to get rid of the part '<2023-06-06>--<2023-06-10>'
in the agenda view
(with the date entry in the same line in the org-file)?

We do not document everything in the manual. Just most important things.
M-x customize-group is your friend.

Thanks, another very useful hint!
I don't use this very often before but will do it more in the
future.-)

I'm a little bit lost in the customize-group of org-agenda.
I'm looking for a variable to "blank" float entries like this:
<%%(diary-float t 4 2)> which is shown in the agenda view
(with org-agenda-remove-timeranges-from-blocks set to t),
because it's not really a timerange?

Yes. You cannot currently remove diary-style timestamps from headings in
agenda using built-in customization.

However, you can try `org-agenda-finalize-hook', manually removing what
you do not want to see.
