In my opinion, keeping things high-level and showing the major features are what is important. In a way, they are commercials for the product, and I think the best way to entice people into trying the product is to make them say "Wow" when viewing the video. I would be happy to help but would need to know the software requirements. Is it easy to make these under Linux?
