I was left battered and bruised and gave up on it. However, once I let go and decided to let it do whatever it wants, it is almost bearable (apart from mailing lists that attach different names to the same email address: the change review emails for openstack are driving me batty right now). But I store phone numbers, addresses, email addresses and even birthdays and anniversaries in there and that has been a rather good experience. But my needs are simple, and depending on the kind of phone integration you are looking for, bbdb might not be enough. What exactly are you looking for? Nick
