I wonder if this is also the case for `=3D' in other agenda views in order to "Filter the agenda view by a regular expression" (`org-agenda-filter-by-regexp'). And for `org-tags-view' for which "Each element in the search is either a tag, a regular expression matching tags...", as well as `org-agenda-bulk-mark-regexp' which marks "entries matching a regular expression for bulk action".
