* Calendar change date on OS X Mountain Lion doesn't work

When using C-c C-s or C-s C-d to schedule or deadline a task, shift - left
or right arrow doesn't work for changing the date. Is there any alternate
key combo for OS X?

org mode 8.0.3 on Emacs 24.3.1.
