More than 1100 people have subscribed to this mailing list, an unknown number of people read it on aggregators like gmane. That is a lot of time and energy spent unnecessarily. Please take more care when formulating a question to the list and try to give all necessary information from the start. Here is an example on how you *could* have formulated your initial mail: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Org- mode people, I am trying to write a poem in Orgmode, but when I am exporting the poem to LaTeX or HTML, all the line breaks are lost! I would like to export the poem with the line break preserved. I have studied the manual and have found that #+OPTIONS: \n:t might be a way to achieve what I want. But the feature is marked as DOES NOT WORK in the manual. Does anyone know why this is the case? I have also search for "preserve breaks" in the mailing list archive: = http://search.gmane.org/?query=3Dpreserve+breaks&author=3D&group=3Dgmane.e= macs.orgmode&sort=3Drelevance&DEFAULTOP=3Dand&xP=3Dorg%09mode and found a number of threads which match this query, but the results have been confusing to me. So I am wondering if someone here could enlighten me what the best way is to achieve my goal. Here is an example Org-file: #+STARTUP: showall #+TITLE: 5-006 =CE=A4=CF=83=CE=B9=CE=B3=CE=AC=CF=81=CE=BF = =CE=B1=CF=84=CE=AD=CE=BB=CE=B5=CE=B9=CF=89=CF=84=CE=BF #+OPTIONS: H:3 num:nil toc:nil \n:t *=CE=A3=CF=85=CE=BD=CE=B8=CE=AD=CF=84=CE=B7=CF=82:* =CE=A3=CF=89=CE=BA=CF=81= =CE=AC=CF=84=CE=B7=CF=82 =CE=9C=CE=AC=CE=BB=CE=B1=CE=BC=CE=B1=CF=82 *=CE=A3=CF=84=CE=B9=CF=87=CE=BF=CF=85=CF=81=CE=B3=CF=8C=CF=82:* = =CE=93=CE=B9=CF=8E=CF=81=CE=B3=CE=BF=CF=82 =CE=91=CE=B8=CE=B1=CE=BD=CE=B1=CF= =83=CF=8C=CF=80=CE=BF=CF=85=CE=BB=CE=BF=CF=82 *=CE=88=CF=84=CE=BF=CF=82:* 1993=20 #+BEGIN_QUOTE =CE=98=CE=B1 =CF=80=CE=B5=CF=81=CF=80=CE=B1=CF=84=CE=AE=CF=83=CF=89 = =CE=BC=CE=BF=CE=BD=CE=B1=CF=87=CF=8C=CF=82 =CE=BA=CE=B9 =CE=B1=CF=85=CF=84= =CF=8C =CF=84=CE=BF =CE=B2=CF=81=CE=AC=CE=B4=CF=85 =CE=BC=CE=AE=CF=80=CF=89=CF=82 =CE=BA=CE=B1=CE=B9 =CE=B2=CF=81=CF=89 = =CF=84=CE=B7=CF=82 =CE=BB=CE=B7=CF=83=CE=BC=CE=BF=CE=BD=CE=B9=CE=AC=CF=82 = =CF=83=CE=BF=CF=85 =CF=84=CE=BF =CE=BD=CE=B5=CF=81=CF=8C =CE=BA=CE=B1=CE=B9 =CF=83=CE=B5 =CF=85=CF=80=CF=8C=CE=B3=CE=B5=CE=B9=CE=B1= =CF=83=CE=BA=CE=BF=CF=84=CE=B5=CE=B9=CE=BD=CE=AC =CE=B8=CE=B1 =CE=B2=CF=81= =CF=89 =CF=83=CE=B7=CE=BC=CE=AC=CE=B4=CE=B9 =CE=BC' =CE=AD=CE=BD=CE=B1 =CF=80=CE=BF=CF=84=CE=AE=CF=81=CE=B9 =CF=89=CF=82= =CF=84=CE=B7=CF=82 =CE=B1=CF=85=CE=B3=CE=AE=CF=82 =CF=84=CE=BF=CE=BD = =CF=80=CE=B1=CE=BD=CE=B9=CE=BA=CF=8C #+END_QUOTE = --------------------------------------------------------------------------= -------------- I guess you would have gotten the right reply immediately. That was actually a much better message, and, as Bastien indicates, there is no simple answer/solution at this time. Regards - Carsten >=20 > Regards >=20 > katepano >=20 - Carsten
