Anderson" Cc: orgmode list This sounds interesting, but I don't understand what you are trying to do. In my agenda, when I press `i d` i get a new diary entry, and the point is on that entry. But it is a diary entry with no todo, and no new org entry. Do you do something else for that? Tory S. Anderson writes: > I plan out my days in the agenda using `i d` (org-agenda-diary-entry). I then move to the newly added entry to edit todo status, the hour of the item, deadlines, tags, and schedules. This would be tremendously facilitated if point automatically moved to the newly created item, rather than my having to search through my lengthy list of items to find the new entry. How can I implement this, and shouldn't it be a default? -- Professor John Kitchin Doherty Hall A207F Department of Chemical Engineering Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh, PA 15213 412-268-7803 @johnkitchin http://kitchingroup.cheme.cmu.edu
