Hi Nick,

I'm on a bumpy upgrade road here. I like the promise of ELPA, but so
far the org package hasn't worked so well for me :(

On my system, C-h v org-finalize-agenda-hook says:

org-finalize-agenda-hook is a variable defined in `org-agenda.el'.
Its value is ((lambda nil
   (remove-text-properties
    (point-min)
    (point-max)
    '(mouse-face t))))

Original value was nil

This variable is potentially risky when used as a file local variable.

Documentation:
Hook run just before displaying an agenda buffer.

I see from your post that the hook I'm using will go away when I find
time to get current again. I suppose there is no sense trying to figure
out why my soon-to-be-obsolete hook isn't working on an outdated system.

Thanks,
Tom
