I believe this is just a remnant of some experimentation done while
writing the article. The first line will be in effect if you have
both defined. In fact, if you were to refresh the setup in the file,
only the first one takes effect (the second one is ignored, unless
removed.) And #+COLUMNS being in between the two has no significance.
