Seems like I can get around it....

#+begin_src emacs-lisp
(setq org-babel-default-header-args:java '((:cmpflag "-cp .")(:cmdline
"-cp .")))
#+end_src

This creates problems however, it is not needed anymore

Will try a bit more and report
