The footnote section goes in a single place but not at the end. *** test a ***** b b[fn::one] ***** c c[fn::two] ***** d d ***** e e The docstring says "before export" which implies that it will not affect export. Or it seems to. Perhaps it should say "before export and for export" or something. Or perhaps there should be two variables.
