Hi, I don't seem to have a problem under Win8.1 (but honnestly, Win7 shouldn't make any difference). I'm using Chrome. I have ;; Character encodings default to utf-8. (set-language-environment "UTF-8") (prefer-coding-system 'utf-8) (set-language-environment 'utf-8) (set-default-coding-systems 'utf-8) (set-terminal-coding-system 'utf-8) (set-selection-coding-system 'utf-8) ;; MS Windows clipboard is UTF-16LE (set-clipboard-coding-system 'utf-16le-dos) in my emacs init files. Try with these settings, and see if it still fails (restart emacs). If it fails only on some web pages, please post a link.
