In fact, lscape is what I am using. I haven't changed the document at all, all I have done is upgrade Emacs which comes with org-mode v7.9.3f. In fact, I just exported the document in on a different machine that has org-mode 7.8.11 installed, and #+begin_landscape/#+end_landscape works as expected.
