Btw, why is = this option the default in org-mode? It is the opposite of the=C2=A0fundame= ntal=C2=A0mode.

M-x toggle-truncate-lines =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0does help= ?

so that "Truncate long lines disabled".

Or place in your .emacs:
(setq truncate-lines t)
