Bad http, bad. :) At this point, I really just want to view 1 org file, my contacts, as I don't want my contacts sync'd or stored on Google. you can always set up your own webdav server.

I briefly used nginx (nginx.= org) a full blown web server, there is an
apache module for serving the webdav protocol and there is pywebdav http://code.googl= e.com/p/pywebdav/
