Sure; if you think so.

See `org-export-define-derived-backend'.  There's examples in the
contrib folder, e.g.

ox-confluence.el, ox-deck.el, ox-freemind.el, ox-gfm.el,
ox-koma-letter.el, ox-rss.el, ox-s5.el
