Reproduce by repeatedly typing 'r' and 's' in > the org agenda buffer. As another data point I'm having a similar problem. This is since updating to a version of CVS GNU/Emacs last weekend. M-x org-version is showing 4.41. My observation is the problem is somewhat broader, as soon as I have run something like C-a a then all my agenda buffers are marked modified. Phil
