Some background information - this is in the file header '#+startup: showeverything fnadjust' and the footnotes are inline. The latest footnote immediately before the parachuted section is '[fn:73]', and the parachuted sections started footnote is '[fn:141]', and that is what I'm trying to achieve, the footnote renumbered so that they flow from '[fn:73]' to '[fn:74]' in the parachuted section, and then onwards. Thanks Sharon. =2D-8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- Maybe (org-footnote-renumber-fn:N)?
