mplayer-mt from debian-multimedia.org on Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.2
(current stable) has no problems to play videos I downloaded with
youtube-dl (from Wheezy). IIRC the mplayer shipped with Debian 6.0.2
had no problems with .flv neither.
