Here's some sample Markdown text: Lots of text[fn:1]. Even more text [fn:1] Lies. I expect it to be converted to the following: Lots of text<a id="fnr.1" class="footref" href="#fn.1">1</a>. Even more text <div id="footnotes"> <h2 class="footnotes">Footnotes: </h2> <div id="text-footnotes"> <div class="footdef"><a id="fn.1" class="footnum" href="#fnr.1">1</a> Lies.</div> </div> </div> Instead I get the following: Lots of text. Even more text <div id="footnotes"> <h2 class="footnotes">Footnotes: </h2> <div id="text-footnotes"> <div class="footdef"><a id="fn.1" class="footnum" href="#fnr.1">1</a> Lies.</div> </div> </div> The difference should be clear, I expect to get a hyperlink with a superscript reference number pointing to the relevant footnote, instead I get neither a link nor a reference. It's completely missing in the actual output.
