Just updated the COLUMNS line in my file:

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
#+COLUMNS: %40ITEM %10BEAMER_env(Env) %10BEAMER_envargs(Env Args) %4BEAMER_col(Col) %8BEAMER_extra(Extra)
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

And that does work.
