The "quote(" looks like a leftover of something. The line should read: '(org-todo-keywords '((sequence "TODO" "STARTED" "WAITING" | "DONE"))) Maybe fixing this does the job? If the (defmacro is not working my guess what be that you are running some kind of a mixup of probably old byte compiled code and the current developement version.
