Hmph!

The first case is really the most common one, in my experience at least.
I check my times every day, sometimes many times a day.  The boss only
needs them every few weeks.

Org mode is primarily for me, quite secondarily for the boss or anyone
else, the defaults should probably be tuned according to this principle.
