With a day's hack, I was able to make org-docbook.el ride on top of (1). The changes are in my work-area and I will be committing docbook changes to my staging branch in few days. In effect, all html derived exporters (org-html, org-docbook, org-odt) will ride atop a single core. Giving a quick heads-up. Jambunathan K.
