I remember some recent changes announced here in the mailing list to how lists are handled in org that made lists more powerful. It seems now that if some text is part or not of the list is controlled by indentation. Therefore, if you write #+begin_src org - blah blah blah blah bleh bleh bleh bleh blih blih blih blih #+end_src then "bleh bleh bleh bleh" is part of the list (as if it were in the same line of "blah blah blah blah"), but not "blih blih blih blih".
