If I have a file like this:

#+SETUPFILE: ~/.emacs-lisp/org-templates/level-1.org
#+TITLE: Journal Pages Indexed by Year.
#+STARTUP: overview
#+STARTUP: hidestars
#+AUTHOR: Ian Barton.
#+INFOJS_OPT: view:info toc:f
#+OPTIONS: num:nil

* [[file:journal_2009.org][2009]]
* [[file:journal_2008.org][2008]]
* [[file:journal_2007.org][2007]]
* [[file:journal_2006.org][2009]]

With org 6.05 the various headlines are treated as links, which is what
I expect. However in 6.17trans they are treated as footnote references.
Is this intended behaviour?

I don't use footnotes myself, so haven't intentionally set any options
relating to footnotes.

I am using emacs GNU Emacs 22.2.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d
scroll bars) of 2008-09-05 on vernadsky, modified by Ubuntu

Ian.
