I just tried this:

  #+options: latex:verbatim
  #+style: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://orgmode.org/mathjax/MathJax.js 
"></script>

and it just worked, also with a remote server.....

Now, this is really really cool!  Wow.

Thanks to all for digging up this cool way of doing math in HTML.
