If you don't want to use git to get the latest development version, you can get a tarball of it (or any version really) from http://repo.or.cz/w/org-mode.git Choose which snapshot you want and click the tar.gz or zip link at the right end of the corresponding line (although I just pulled and I don't see any updates to org-freemind.el - in particular, it still requires rx - maybe Carsten forgot to push?)
