One thing that confused me is that I tried to work with two machines,=20 without a server. Figuring git is distributed, I thought I do not need a=20 server, and I tried to follow the tutorial. Obviously, I got hit when I=20 performed a 'git push' onto a non-bare repository (now I know what these=20 things mean ;). I now know not to use 'push' and can get along fine with just 'pull'-ing. I= =20 think the tutorial might be better if you either mention how to work=20 without a server, or just put a big note not to push onto a non-server=20 branch (There is a note there, but it was probably not big enough for me ;) Thanks for a great tutorial. You made me cross the git barrier. Once I'm on= =20 the other side, nothing would take me back (same way I felt about org-mode= =20 after seeing Russell Adams' video). =2D-=20 yuval --nextPart2102384.E8UiUtaHUJ Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAkm31pEACgkQl7qmwPqEj9+GXwCgwJeg1f1QvWPofCsjr9CvP1AI tfkAmgOr2CLqbvOczJUb8iX9WrWW79Fx =A+wG -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart2102384.E8UiUtaHUJ-- --===============1022190053== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ Emacs-orgmode mailing list Remember: use `Reply All' to send replies to the list.
