The only time I have to worry about converting TZ is when I'm entering a date & time into the calendar. Would it be possible for the calendar / date prompt to convert from one TZ to the current? ie: Wed 09:00 EST would automatically convert to Wed 08:00 (implied CST, where I am). Perhaps this is an easier fix.
