I suspect this is getting a little OT now and more "How does info work" :-; But it's reassuring to hear that others scratch their heads a little too. I have lots of unresolved dir links since I removed (uninstalled properly) emacs 22 and 21 and went for CVS Emacs 23 and that only adds to my info woes ... -- Technology... the knack of so arranging the world that we don't have to experience it. ~Max Frisch
