Thank you for testing. Perhaps I could compile the latest development version and see if it occurs there for me.
(as currently  I'm using 24.4.1 from Fedora 21 repo).

I'll try it out and let you know.

[fn:1] needs to be at column 0 for a definition.

I cannot reproduce it on development version. Clicking on the definition
jumps me to the reference.
